- Sharing this information is optional.
- You can edit or delete it at any time.
- We do not sell or share sensitive personal information.

We use your information to:
- Operate and improve Latitune’s core features
- Suggest tasks, rhythms, and household balance options
- Support shared care and equitable task distribution
- Respond to support requests
- Maintain the safety and reliability of the app
We do not use your information for advertising.
AI & automated assistance
Latitune uses AI-assisted systems to help support shared care and balance within households. These systems are designed to be privacy-conscious, limited in scope, and user-controlled.
AI features may assist with
- Suggesting task assignments or rebalancing options
- Identifying patterns related to capacity or energy
- Offering insights to support household coordination
How we protect your privacy when using AI
We apply multiple safeguards to limit what information AI systems can access:
Data minimization
Only the minimum necessary information is shared for AI processing. This may include:
- Task titles (with names and personal details scrubbed)
- Task effort level and status
- Care domain (e.g., routines, spaces, caregiving)
- Aggregated weekly hours
- General stress or capacity state
- Access level (such as household role)
Full task descriptions, personal notes, messages, and free-text reflections are not shared with AI systems. Task titles are scrubbed to remove names and personal details before sending.
Pseudonymization
Identifying information such as email addresses and display names is replaced with temporary, non-identifiable IDs before processing. Task titles are included to help avoid duplicate suggestions, but names and personal details within titles are automatically scrubbed first.
Local context mapping
The mapping between anonymous IDs and real household members is maintained securely within Latitune and is never shared with the AI system itself.
Secure internal processing
AI-assisted processing occurs within our development platform’s secure environment. Once suggestions are generated using anonymous identifiers, they are mapped back locally so results can be displayed meaningfully within the app.
Important things to know
- AI systems do not make changes automatically
- All suggestions require explicit user review and approval
- AI outputs are advisory, not authoritative
- You can ignore or decline any suggestion at any time
How we use AI
Latitune uses AI (powered by Anthropic’s Claude) to help personalize task suggestions, generate care tasks, auto-categorize tasks, and provide smart recommendations. We’ve designed our AI features with privacy at the center.
What data is sent to AI
When you use AI features, we send your care profile categories (like ‘home’ or ‘meals’), task titles, task metadata (effort level, due dates), and household capacity information. We take reasonable measures to remove names, email addresses, phone numbers, and other personal identifiers before anything leaves your device. No automated scrubbing system is perfect, which is why AI features are always opt-in.
How AI processes your data
Your data is sent to Anthropic’s Claude AI for instant processing. Anthropic does not store your requests or use them to train their AI models. Once you receive a response, Anthropic has no record of your request.
What we store
We keep anonymous logs of AI usage to help us improve the app. These logs contain: which feature was used, how long it took, whether it succeeded, and scrubbed request data (with all names and personal details replaced with placeholders). Request details are automatically deleted after 90 days. All logs are deleted after 2 years.
Your control
You can turn off AI features anytime in Settings. You can export all your data (including AI logs) or delete your account completely. When you delete your account, all AI-related data is permanently removed.
Auto-categorization
When you create a task, Latitune first tries to categorize it using keyword matching (no AI involved). If no match is found, the task title and description may be sent to AI for categorization. We take reasonable measures to remove personal information (names, emails, phone numbers) before sending — only the scrubbed text is shared.
Cookies & similar technologies
Latitune is primarily a native mobile app, but a web version is also available. Our use of cookies is minimal and limited to what’s needed to make the app work.
What we use

If our use of cookies changes in the future, we will update this section and notify users as appropriate.
How information is shared
Within your household
Information you add to a household (tasks, notes, energy indicators) is visible to other members of that household, as designed and disclosed in the app.
With service providers
We may share limited information with trusted service providers who help us operate the app (e.g., hosting, payment processing). They are required to protect your data and use it only for providing services to Latitune.
What we do not do

- We do not allow third parties to use your data for their own purposes.
Data access & control
You have the right to:
- Access your information
- Update or correct your information
- Export your data
- Delete your account and associated data
Most of these actions can be completed directly within the app. You may also contact us for assistance.
Data retention
We retain your information only as long as needed to operate the app or as required by law.
When you delete your account:
- Active data is removed from production systems
- Some information may remain temporarily in backups
Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the size and nature of our service to protect your information.
Analytics & usage data
At this time, Latitune does not use extensive analytics or behavioral tracking.
We may introduce basic usage metrics in the future to improve usability and reliability.
Children & teens
Latitune is intended for users aged 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, including the right to request access, deletion, or restriction of use.
We aim to honor these rights for all users, regardless of location.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do:
- We’ll update the “Last updated” date
- Significant changes will be communicated clearly
